How useful are artefacts and artwork as historical sources when researching the experience of Australians who served in either the First World War or Second World War?
This free workshop will examine how useful artefacts and artwork are when researching the experience of Australians who served in the First World War and the Second World War. THTA acknowledges the Palawa / Pakana people, the traditional owners and continuing custodians of Lutruwita / Tasmania. As teachers and educators of history, we recognise that a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures enriches our appreciation of Australia’s past and present. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, who hold the memories, traditions, histories, cultures and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the nation.
